Searcy County authorities have arrested a Yell County man, 43-year-old Michael Shane McManus of Ola, after he was found driving a vehicle reported stolen in Conway.
Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell says McManus’ arrest on Feb. 18th follows law enforcement observing him commit a traffic violation on U.S. Highway 65 near Leslie.
After conducting a traffic stop, the Arkansas Crime Information Center database indicated the vehicle McManus was driving had been reported stolen.
An inventory of the vehicle determined McManus had a suspended driver’s license and was allegedly in possession of felony drug paraphernalia.
He has been charged with felony counts of theft by receiving and possession of drug paraphernalia, with bond set at $7,500.
