First, a Stone County man, 52-year-old Willard E. Moyers of Mountain View, allegedly filed a false report with a law enforcement agency saying a woman he lives with took over $34,000 of items from him. Then, court documents say police have audio from the Stone County jail telling what really happened.
WhiteRiverNow.com reports an arrest warrant was issued for Moyers on Feb. 25th for filing a false report.
Court documents indicate Moyers reported the woman had taken his food stamps, tools, televisions, tool boxes, an air compressor and a generator. The list of items filled three pages of lost or stolen property with an estimated value of just over $34,000.
The documents also reportedly note while talking on the phone from the jail to the woman he accused of stealing his property, Moyers allegedly said, “Sell whatever you have to sell.”
Bond for the Mountain View man was set at $10,000.
