Two individuals court ordered for drug testing in Stone County were spotted running for their get-away vehicle as they exited the courthouse. However, as Charles J. Youngberg and Rebecca D. Avey, both 38 years old, jumped into their vehicle, they realized its battery was dead.
WhiteRiverNow.com reports Circuit Judge Tim Weaver had ordered the duo to take a drug test Feb. 28th.
Instead, the two had other ideas and were spotted by an officer of the court running west toward Maple Drive in Mountain View, after jumping into Avey’s vehicle and discovering the battery was dead.
Deputies caught and detained Avey, but Youngberg was able to escape. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Avey is being held without bond and now faces felony charges of third-degree escape and hindering apprehension.
