Baseball and softball are part of a busy local Friday schedule.
The Mountain Home High School softball team returns to McClain Park as they meet Little Rock Central. The varsity game begins on Freedom Field at 4:30 followed by the junior varsity contest.
Elsewhere, Cotter hosts Flippin, and Omaha entertains Jasper.
Two area baseball teams will be in Berryville for the start of the Carroll County Tournament. Lead Hill faces Green Forest at 4:00, and Valley Springs takes on Pea Ridge at 6:00.
In other high school baseball, Flippin travels to Alpena, Salem is home against Mammoth Spring, Melbourne hosts Cedar Ridge, Mountain View entertains Newport, and Omaha plays Jasper at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison.
