A special election is being held Tuesday in Baxter County. Voters in the Norfork School District are being asked to go to the polls to decide on a millage increase to meet budget shortfalls.
Norfork’s current millage rate stands at 34.39, below the state average of 38.33 mills. The district is seeking a three-mill increase.
Registered voters can cast their ballots at one of the vote centers at Lone Rock Baptist Church, Norfork Baptist Church and the Salesville Community Center. Polls will be open from 7:30 until 7:30.
