The Cotter Warrior 10k/5k Walk/Run is scheduled for April 13th in downtown Cotter. Proceeds will benefit the Cotter Warrior Foundation.
The day begins with registration from 7:30 to 7:50 under the pavilion at Big Spring Park. The race will start at 8:00 under the R.M. Ruthven Bridge and run along the White River. The 10k runners will also run through the old downtown area of Cotter.
For anyone pre-registering, applications must be postmarked by March 29th. The 5k will cost $20 for adults and $15 for those 18-and-under. The cost for the 10k is $25 for adults and $20 for ages 18-and-under. Anyone wanting to support the race but is unable to participate can register as a “spirit runner” for $20 and will receive a t-shirt. For those registering on race day, five dollars will be added to the entrance fee.
The Cotter Warrior Foundation will use the proceeds to continue its mission of supporting the Cotter School District and its students with scholarships, tuition for concurrent classes and a “Little Library” to be installed near Gassville Gardens.
