MHHS soccer gets two wins against Jonesboro

The Mountain Home High School soccer teams picked up a pair of wins at home Tuesday night against Jonesboro.

The Lady Bombers exploded for a 9-1 win over Jonesboro. Leading the onslaught with two goals each were Emma Jones, Sabra Wickersham and Grace Beckham. Scoring one goal each were Chloe Nosari, Kirsten Stroud and Peyton Fowler. Lauren Helmert had a big night with five assists. Haven Klinger and Kenzie Hatman also had an assist.

The Lady Bombers improve to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the 5A East.

The Mountain Home boys posted a 2-0 win over the Hurricane. Jose Alonso got the shutout in goal with 7 saves. Scoring goals were Trey Ingram and Vini Arrelaro. The Bombers got assists from Gage Slaughter, Quinton Fourny and Arrelaro.

Mountain Home is now 6-0 overall and 3-0 in conference play.

Jonesboro won the J.V. boy’s match 1-0.

The Mountain Home soccer teams travel to Marion Friday.
