MHHS softball gets pair of blowout wins

The Mountain Home High School softball team picked up a pair of blowout wins Tuesday at West Memphis.

The Lady Bombers won the first game 15-0 on 7 hits, 9 walks and 4 hit batters. Georgia Burnham and Emily Payne each had 2 hits as Mountain Home scored 14 runs in the first inning. In the circle, Lauren Loving got the win, allowing no hits or walks and striking out 4 in 3 innings.

Mountain Home topped West Memphis 17-0 in the second game. Reagan Hasselwander worked the first 3 innings, allowing no hits or walks and striking out 8 to get the win. At the plate, Hasselwander had a pair of hits.

The Lady Bombers improve to 8-4 overall and 3-1 in the 5A East. They play again Friday at Salem.
