FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Postseason excitement continues Thursday in Bud Walton Arena as the University of Arkansas women’s basketball team hosts TCU in the third round of the Women’s National Invitational Tournament. The game tips at 7 p.m.

Arkansas (22-14) is making the program’s seventh WNIT appearance with the best finish coming in the form of the championship title in 1999. This season, the Razorbacks defeated Houston and UAB to reach round three.

The Razorbacks are in the midst of a record-setting season behind the All-American-like performances of sophomore Chelsea Dungee. Dungee holds the Razorback single season records for points, free throws and free throw attempts. In addition, she set four program records for a Razorback in a WNIT game.

Arkansas has set seven single-season team records and moved into the top-10 single-season performances in eight additional categories.

And it hasn’t been all Dungee. Senior Malica Monk and junior Alexis Tolefree average double digits this season while starters Kiara Williams and Jailyn Mason continue to provide opponents challenges as they try to handle their solid play.

The Razorbacks have also seen the play of its bench improve during the postseason run. A’Tyanna Gaulden, Raven Northcross-Baker, Bailey Zimmerman and Taylah Thomas all play extended minutes for Arkansas.
