The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District is scheduled to make spillway releases from Norfork Dam until 5 Thursday evening. The releases were set to begin at 8 Thursday morning. The releases are being made to compensate for one generator, which had to be taken off-line.The Corps is opening five of the 12 gates, 1 foot each releasing about 1,650 cubic feet per second, as well as 2,900 cubic feet per second releases from the one power generation turbine.
