
Mountain Home’s semi-pro basketball team began their defense of last year’s Battleground Basketball Association title on the right foot on Friday. The Twin Lakers went to Hendrix College in Conway and defeated the El Dorado Ballerz 144-116.
Anphernie Harris led Mountain Home with 43 points, and former Arkansas Razorback Anton Beard made his debut with 28 points. In addition, Cotter High School alumnus Levi Olson scored 18 points and dished out ten assists, Josh Tarver had 17 points, Andre Brown provided 12, and Tony Brewster added ten.
The Twin Lakers’ next game will be April 13th at the Yellville-Summit Multi-Purpose Facility as they meet the Rock City Nine.
