Queen Theatrical Productions Ltd and Annerin ProductionsThe appetite for all things Queen shows no signs of dying down. We Will Rock You, the musical featuring the band’s music, has just announced a North American tour, while Queen drummer Roger Taylor has put out a solo single.

We Will Rock You, written by author, comedian and screenwriter Ben Elton, was first produced in 2002 and has so far been staged in 19 countries for 16 million theatergoers. It takes Queen’s best-known hits and uses them to drive a plot about dystopian society where everyone dresses, thinks and acts the same, and musical instruments are forbidden. The two main characters are named — wait for it — Scaramouche and Galileo.

The North American tour gets underway September 3 in Winnipeg, Canada and will run through the end of the year. You can buy tickets starting April 5 at 10 a.m. local time via QueenOnline.com/WWRY.

Meanwhile, drummer Roger Taylor has quietly released a new single and lyric video called “Gangsters Are Running This World.” It’s not clear whether or not it’s a standalone, or part of a new album project. Taylor’s last solo album was 2013’s Fun on Earth.
