A woman from Searcy County was killed in a one-vehicle crash Monday afternoon. Sixty-five-year-old Derinda Baker of Leslie died in the crash, while two others were injured. Twenty-eight-year-old Britany Jeter and 23-year-old Jessie Davis, both of Marshall, were taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
The Arkansas State Police says the accident happened at 2:08 Monday afternoon when the vehicle driven by Jeter lost control, left the roadway and struck a bluff wall.
The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 65 at Backbone Mountain just south of Marshall.
