
Two people were transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center Thursday evening after their vehicle left the roadway and struck a large tree.
According to a report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred on State Highway 201 North shortly after 10.
The vehicle driven by 18-year-old Trey Wilkerson of Mountain Home was traveling north and attempting to negotiate a curve at a high rate of speed. Both Wilkerson and a passenger, Brennon Rhodes, whose age and address were not listed, were transported to BRMC. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Careless prohibited driving was listed as a contributing factor to the crash.
