Baseball Bombers sweep Searcy

The Mountain Home High School baseball team swept a double header at Searcy Tuesday evening to keep their hold on first place in the 5A East Conference.

The Bombers won the first game 10-0. Will Gross worked the first six innings, allowing just three hits and no walks while striking out seven to get the win.
The Bombers pounded out 13 hits in the contest. Josh Prinner and Luke Jackson each had three hits while Austin Mize added two hits.

Mountain Home won the second game 5-1 over Searcy. Trey Jordan got the win by striking out ten while giving up five hits and walking none in seven innings of work.
Offensively, Mize had three more hits. Mize and Asa Smith each drove in runs during a three-run fifth inning.

The Bombers improve to 15-4 overall and 9-1 in league play.
