The Norfork School District will soon begin its search for new leadership for the girls’ basketball program. Lady Panthers’ head coach Josh Laymon has accepted the same position at Heritage High School in Rogers.

Laymon says this new opportunity is a chance for him to step out of his comfort zone and lead in new ways that he hasn’t had an opportunity to do.

Laymon has been at the helm of Norfork’s program for the last seven years. His Lady Panther team have amassed over 170 wins with 119 coming over the last three years. Norfork has been to the last six Class 1A State Tournaments and advanced to the semifinals in 2017 and 2018.

Laymon says while he is looking forward to his new position, it will be tough saying goodbye to the Norfork School District community.
