A man arrested and charged with possessing drug paraphernalia as the result of a complaint that brought police to a Cotter apartment complex pled guilty to the charges against him during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court last week.

Twenty-seven-year-old Joseph Daniel Wilkerson was put on probation for three years.

Wilkerson was found in an apartment complex when a Cotter police officer responded to a neighbor’s “annoyance” complaint in mid-September last year.

Inside the unit, the officers located items of drug paraphernalia, including pipes used to smoke marijuana and methamphetamine, along with a small set of scales.

Wilkerson, who was living in the apartment with at least one other person, had a waiver on file at the time permitting a warrantless search.
