The first round of the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series at Bull Shoals Lake is in the books.
Cole Sands and Conner Dimauro of Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, are the current leaders. Sands and Dimauro caught five fish weighing a total of 19 pounds, 4 ounces.
Two teams from Arkansas State University-Mountain Home are also competing this week. Cheston Jones and Addison Mahan are currently 187th with 3 fish weighing 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and Christopher Burkhart and Colton Shipman are 191st with 2 fish at 3 pounds, 12 ounces.
The tournament will continue Friday with the boats launching from Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock at 6:30, and weigh-ins will begin at 2:30. The field will be cut to 12 teams after Friday’s weigh-ins.
