Eastern Kentucky team leads after 2nd day of Bull Shoals Lake college tourney

The second round of the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series at Bull Shoals Lake is complete, and the field has been cut to 12 teams.

Joshua Boone and Blake Riley of Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond have taken the lead. The duo have a two-day total of ten fish weighing 32 pounds, 13 ounces.

Both teams representing Arkansas State University-Mountain Home missed the cut. Christopher Burkhart and Colton Shipman will finish 177th with 5 fish weighing 11 pounds, 5 ounces, and Cheston Jones and Addison Mahan are 190th with 3 fish weighing 6 pounds, 10 ounces.

The field for the final day of competition will include a team from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and a duo from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. Noah Boyett and Hunter Hanby are representing the Razorbacks as they sit in tenth place with ten bass weighing 29 pounds, 14 ounces, and the Wonder Boys’ Austin Phillips and Samuel Scott round out the top 12 with 10 fish at 29 pounds, 11 ounces.
