The Norfork High School Quiz Bowl team picked up its third state championship in four years on Saturday. The Panthers captured the Class 1A title by defeating Izard County 285-130 in the Arkansas Governor’s Quiz Bowl Association state finals at the AETN studios in Conway.
Norfork’s team received a $3,000 check for its victory. In addition, Bentley Branscum represents the Panthers as the tournament’s most valuable player.
Izard County was awarded $1,500 for its runner-up finish.
