Norfork students receive honors at Arkansas Young Artist Competition

Seven Norfork High School students received honors in April at the Arkansas Young Artist Competition in Little Rock. Nearly 1,600 students across the state competed, and each was allowed to submit up to five pieces of artwork.

Senior Madison Woody won the Altered Books competition, senior Chad Mabry won Black and White Photography, junior McKenna Beck won Fiber Arts/Realistic and Fiber Arts/Abstract, junior Mackenzie Rangel won Tempera/Realistic, senior Jaden Bennett won Sculpture/Abstract and Sketchbook and finished fourth in Fiber Arts/Expressive, senior Kasady Sutterfield placed second in Fiber Arts/Abstract, and senior Kayley Payne was third in Tempera/Realistic and received honorable mention in Watercolor/Realistic.

The competition was held at the Statehouse Convention Center.
