Two area softball teams were eliminated from the Class 3A Region 1 Tournament at West Fork. Mountain View fell to Mansfield 12-1, and Valley Springs was edged out by Charleston 2-1.
Valley Springs was also one and done in the Class 3A Region 1 Baseball Tournament at West Fork. The Tigers lost to Lincoln by a final of 4-3.
Harrison’s baseball team secured a state tournament berth after its opener in the Class 4A North Regional Tournament at Farmington defeated Clarksville 5-1.
