A Fulton County Fair committee will meet Wednesday afternoon to plan a 100th anniversary cookbook of vintage recipes as the annual event in Salem celebrates 100 years in July.
The volunteer committee will meet at 3:30 in the Hickinbotham-Miller Exhibit Building at the Fulton County Fairgrounds to plan the cookbook.
All profits from the cookbook will go to the Fulton County Fair Foundation for scholarships. Residents of Fulton County and former residents have memories of favorite foods prepared by their mothers, grandmothers, aunts and other family members the committee hopes they will share.
Anyone who wants to be a part of this historic cookbook and preserve the recipes of county ancestors is invited to attend.
The committee will discussing options for publishing the cookbook, set a timeline for submitting recipes, printing and distribution for sales.
The timeline is very important, since the book will be for sale at the 2019 Fulton County Fair scheduled for July 22-27.
