State soccer tournaments begin Thursday in Arkansas, and two area schools will send both of their teams on the road.
Both of Mountain Home’s squads will play their openers in the Class 5A State Tournament at the Letain Devore Soccer Complex in Searcy.
The Bomber boys will face El Dorado in the opening match on Field One. Mountain Home finished the regular season as the 5A-East conference champions. The Wildcats are the fourth-seeded team from the South. Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
Mountain Home’s first opponent on the girls’ side will be Texarkana on Field Three. The Lady Bombers are the number two seed from the East. The Lady Razorbacks are the third-seeded team from the South. Action is scheduled for 2.
Both Harrison teams will be in Batesville for the start of the Class 4A State Tournament. The Lady Goblins will go up against the host Lady Pioneers at 9 a.m. on the campus of Batesville High School, and Harrison’s boys will take on Brookland at 11 at Lyon College.
