A community resource awareness event is set for Saturday on the Mountain Home square from 10 until 1 to give area residents a chance to learn about local resources available for those suffering from substance abuse and addiction.
The event is put together by the drug action team, part of Baxter County Forward, an initiative to address major forces and trends which impact the Twin Lakes Area. Jamie Leach is chairperson for the drug action team and says group members wanted to let folks who are dealing with substance abuse or addiction know there are choices available to help with the problem.

The event will be held in the Flies building on the southwest corner of the Mountain Home square.
