Friday and Saturday mark the Arkansas Activities Association’s state championship weekend for baseball, softball and soccer. Three area teams will compete for a title Saturday on the campus of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
Viola’s baseball team will play in the Class 1A game as they meet Taylor. The first pitch is scheduled for 12:30 at Baum-Walker Stadium.
Harrison will compete in both of the Class 4A soccer matches. The Lady Goblins will take the field against Pulaski Academy at 2, and Harrison’s boys will go up against Valley View at 4. Both matches will be played on Razorback Field.
