ABC RadioPolice guitarist Andy Summers will take part in a special audiovisual presentation at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on June 22, in conjunction with the ongoing exhibit Play It Loud: Instruments of Rock and Roll.
The event, titled A Certain Strangeness, will feature Summers playing guitar, accompanied by a projection of some of his surreal photographic images. The show will conclude with a Q&A session between Andy and Jayson Dobney, he curator in charge of the museum’s Department of Musical Instruments.
Tickets for the presentation are priced at $35 and are available at MetMuseum.org. Same-day admission to The Met is included in the price of the ticket.
A Certain Strangeness also is the name of Summers’ latest book of photographs, which was published in March.
Meanwhile, Andy also will present a similar multimedia show on June 7 at the Parkstad Limburg Theater in Heerlen, Netherlands.
That same day, an exhibition featuring a display of photographs that appear in the A Certain Strangeness book will officially open at the Bonnefanten Museum in Maastricht, Netherlands. The exhibit will run through October 27.
