A 3-year-old boy has been killed in a logging accident in Izard County. Izard County Sheriff Earnie Blackley says his office was notified at 2:37 Monday afternoon of the boy being run over by a tractor on private property on Knob Creek Road in Melbourne.
Emergency personnel responded and started life saving efforts but the victim was pronounced dead a short time later.
Sheriff Blackley says the boy’s name is being withheld at this time.
The case is under investigation by the Izard County Sheriff’s Office.
