A pair of area high school baseball teams fell short of a berth to next week’s semifinals in Missouri.
Dora ended up losing to Cooter 9-1 in the quarterfinals of the Class 1 State Tournament. The Falcons’ season ended at 21-3.
Ava was bounced from the Class 3 State Tournament after falling to Fatima 4-1. The Bears’ final record is 18-6.
