That was the traditional rifle salute by the Alley-White American Legion Post 52 Honor Guard followed by the playing of Taps to wrap up another Memorial Day ceremony Monday at the Mountain Home Plaza 2000. This year’s keynote speaker was Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System Chief of Volunteer Services Michael Dobbs.
Dobbs says Memorial Day has a different meaning to him now compared to when he was a kid growing up in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
