The Cure 40th anniversary show coming to theaters

Trafalgar Releasing/Eagle Rock EntertainmentIn July 2018, The Cure played a special show in London’s Hyde Park to celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary. Now, a film documenting the concert is coming to a big screen near you.

Titled The Cure Anniversary — 1978-2018 — Live in Hyde Park, the movie will screen in theaters worldwide on July 11.

“This really was the perfect way to celebrate 40 years of the band,” frontman Robert Smith says. “It was a fabulous day none of us will ever forget.”

Tickets go sale on June 6 via The Cure.film.

In other The Cure happenings, the newly inducted Rock & Roll Hall of Famers are headlining and curating a new festival called Pasadena Daydream, held August 31 in Pasadena, California. The lineup also includes Deftones and Pixies.
