Nicholson says for those who miss the deadline the 10 percent penalty for property taxes is a state mandate.

Friday’s assessment deadline applies across all Arkansas’s 75 counties. For those outside of Baxter County, consult with the local Office of Assessor to determine what procedures are in place for completing the process.
