
Approximately 2,500 visitors are expected at Gassville in the Park Saturday, with some on hand for a short period of time, while others will spend the day taking in some old favorite activities, as well as some new events.The day’s events begin at 7:30 with a 5K run, followed by the 17th annual car show and auto swap meet.
Former city council member Rick Peglar will serve as parade grand marshal at 10. Line-up for the parade is at 9. Cars and motorcycles will line up on South Johnson Street, while floats will line up at North Johnson Street. Prizes will be awarded for both cars and floats.
Live music is set from 10 until 4.
Activities also include balloon art by Jamel the Magician from 10 until 2 and a super hero walk at 2.
Throughout the day food vendors will be on hand and visitors can stop, look and shop at more than 100 booths.
A food drive collection of nonperishable items for Threshold Ministries is also part of the day’s activities.
Gassville’s park is accessible off U.S. Highway 62/412 by either State Highway 345 or School Street. The park is approximately six blocks off Highway 62/412.
KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot will be broadcasting live from the event from 1 until 3 with the Treasure Chest.
