The Baxter County Quorum Court will consider four items of business when it convenes Tuesday evening at 6 for its regular monthly meeting. After acting on two routine housekeeping financial matters, the court will consider an ordinance to conduct business with Rick Peglar, owner of a Mountain Home printing business. Peglar’s appointment to the Baxter County Election Commission in late January creates a conflict of interest with him doing business with the county without action by the court. The court is also being asked to confirm Judge Mickey Pendergrass’ appointment of Randy Worlow and the reappointment of James Madison to the county equalization board. Worlow’s appointment is to fill the unexpired three-year term of Jim Bodenhamer.
The quorum court meeting will be held in the second floor courtroom of the Baxter County Courthouse.
