Eight American Legion baseball teams will gather at Cooper Park for one of Mountain Home’s biggest sporting events. The 33rd-annual Mickey Huskey Twin Lakes Classic will get underway for its four-day run Thursday at Lester White Field.
The tournament will be divided into two pools of four teams. Pool play will run Thursday through Saturday. The runners-up from each pool will square off Sunday followed by the pool winners playing for the championship.
The Mountain Home Lockeroom will take the field for the last game of the opening day as they meet Manchester, Mo. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:15.
The Mountain Home MacLeod team will get the action started as they will be paired with Harrison. Action gets underway at noon.
In Thursday’s other games, Paragould faces Charleston, Missouri, at 2:30, and Batesville takes on Pontotoc, Mississippi, at 5.
