North Arkansas Electric Cooperative will have a planned power outage for members served by the Southland Substation, the one destroyed by a fire a week ago Friday. The outage will be Saturday night beginning at 11:30 and should last about one hour.
The outage is necessary to allow crews to disconnect a piece of equipment that was potentially damaged in the fire June 7. The outage will affect approximately 1,150 members.
