Bicyclist injured when hit by car on Flippin bypass

A man riding a bicycle was injured when he was struck by a car on the Flippin bypass Friday afternoon. Forty-seven-year-old Jackie Stacy was transported by Baxter Regional Medical Center for treatment of what was described as minor injuries.

According to the report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Sarah Jefferson of Flippin was on Marion County Road 7055 and attempting to cross U.S. Highway 62/412 when the bicycle ridden by Stacy pulled into her lane. The report indicates Stacy was struck by a mirror on the vehicle.

The accident happened at 2 Friday afternoon. No charges were filed.
