
Fireworks events across the Twin Lakes Area mark the upcoming Fourth of July.
On Saturday, the 20th Annual Red, White, and Blue Festival fireworks are set for 9:45 on the campus of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home. Music choreographed to the fireworks show will be playing on Classic Hits 101.7.The First Christian Church will also be hosting a viewing party of the fireworks. The church is located at 2338 U.S. Highway 62 West. The party will include hot dogs, bathroom availability and live music starting at 7 p.m.
In Theodosia fireworks start at dark over Bull Shoals Lake Saturday. The fireworks can be seen from the campground and Theodosia Marina Resort. There will be activities including a dog show and the annual golf cart parade.
On Independence Eve, fireworks start at dark on Lake Norfork and are viewable from the Hwys. 101 and 62 bridges. Music will be broadcast on 99.7 The Boot.
Also on Independence Eve in Flippin, fireworks start at 9:15. Activities begin at noon and include bounce houses, wall of water by the Flippin Fire Department, live music from 7 p.m. until 9:15 p.m. and vendors for food, arts and crafts. Parking will be available near the park and in downtown Flippin.
On the Fourth of July, at Rockbridge Rainbow Trout Ranch, visitors can enjoy fireworks beginning at dusk.
There will be live music, activities, corral rides, local vendors, picnic concessions at the grist mill and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
At Bull Shoals Lake, the fireworks will begin around 9 on July 4. Again, attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chair and blankets to the James A. Gaston Visitor Center overlook at the Bull Shoals Dam for the best view of the show.
The final show of the Fourth of July season is set for Friday evening, July 5 at Pontiac. Fireworks will start at dark or around 9:15. There will be food vendors as early as 6. Fireworks can be viewed from the lake or the shoreline around Pontiac Cove.
