
A Baxter County man, 61-year-old Jerry Lynn Williams of Mountain Home, is being held in Izard County in connection with a shooting incident Sunday in Horseshoe Bend.Izard County Sheriff Earnie Blackley says his department received a call Sunday morning about 3:30 advising of the shooting in the 1200 block of Ridge Circle.Deputies and emergency personnel arrived to find 30-year-old Mitchell Dunkel of Horseshoe Bend having been shot multiple times. An affidavit filed in the case says Williams forced Dunkel to get on his knees and shot him at least two times execution style.Dunkel was transported to a Jonesboro hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.An investigation into the incident led to Williams’ arrest in Mountain Home about an hour and a half later. Mountain Home police were notified where they could find the vehicle in Mountain Home. When they recovered the truck Williams had allegedly been driving, there was blood on the center console.Sheriff Blackley says Williams is formerly from Horseshoe Bend. He is being held in the Izard County Detention Center pending formal charges.
