The postseason began on a rough note Friday for the Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team Friday at Conway. The Lockeroom opened the Arkansas Senior State Tournament with a 5-2 loss to Maumelle.
Tyler Smith suffered the defeat on the mound. Smith pitched four innings, struck out three batters and gave up four runs.
Mountain Home falls to 23-19 on the season, and they’ll play an elimination game on Saturday. The Lockeroom will meet El Dorado at 12:30 at Bear Stadium on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas.
