The Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team dominated its first elimination game Saturday in the Arkansas Senior State Tournament at Conway. The mercy rule was invoked in the sixth inning as Lockeroom beat up on El Dorado by a score of 12-1.

Jim Strider picked up the win as he pitched all six innings and recorded six strikeouts. Luke Dibble led the Mountain Home offense with two hits and four RBIs, Jake Hutson and Tyler Guffey each recorded two hits, and Garrett Steelman drove in two runs.

The Lockeroom improves to 24-19 on the season, and they’ll play another elimination game against Paragould. Sunday’s game is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Bear Stadium on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas.
