A Stone County woman, 42-year-old Lindsay Wilson-Galloway of Mountain View, is facing multiple drug-related charges after the vehicle she was driving was reported stalled in the middle of the roadway, and it appeared she was asleep.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed Monday, law enforcement officers arrived at the scene Thursday afternoon on Herpel Road where Wilson-Galloway told them she had hurt her wrist and the pain must have caused her to pass out.

She told officers she was not on any paid medication. She said she had been to Rosa Hole swimming and digging for arrowheads and somehow hurt her wrist.

When asked to take a standardized field sobriety test, Wilson-Galloway allegedly said she would but her balance has not been good since she overdosed about a year ago.

After completing the test and being advised she was being taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, Wilson-Galloway said she needed to see a doctor.

As they waited for an ambulance to arrive, a search of the vehicle Wilson-Galloway had been driving revealed a bag with crystalline residue, as well as drug paraphernalia, two cell phones and three portable storage devices.

A loaded syringe, an empty one, a baggie and a set of digital scales all reportedly field tested positive for methamphetamine.

When officers checked on Wilson-Galloway in a patrol unit, she reportedly advised she could wait for medical attention and asked to be transported to the jail.

Wilson-Galloway faces five felony drug-related charges, as well as misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to chemical test. Her bond was set at $15,000.
