Bomber Stadium will be without the use of its scoreboard and public address system for Thursday’s benefit scrimmages. According to Mountain Home High School Athletic Director Mitch Huskey, a lightning strike from Wednesday’s storm activity caused damage to the transformer below the Hayden Padgett Press Box.
Huskey says it appears lightning struck the home side bleachers at the stadium and spread to the transformer. Officials are working to replace the transformer as soon as possible.
Mountain Home’s benefit games against Highland will begin as scheduled with action starting at 6 p.m. Huskey says the time clock for the game will be kept on the sidelines.
