A Missouri couple charged with stocking their yard sale with stolen items taken from a storage unit on Buzzard Roost Road both pled guilty to the charges against them during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

49-year-old Fred Tandy III and 37-year-old Jessica Inman, both of Dora, allegedly broke into the storage unit in late July last year. Items taken included a TV, mountain bike, Play Station games, electronic equipment and DVDs.

Tandy and Inman are husband and wife and both received six years probation and were ordered to pay $1,100 in restitution. It was announced in court Thursday, they had $850 available to pay toward the total.

Investigators from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office were provided surveillance video by the manager of A-1 Storage. The cameras caught a vehicle registered to Tandy and Inman in front of the unit that was broken into.

The video shows a male cutting the lock off the unit and then both the man and a female going into the unit and removing items.

Ozark County Sheriff’s Office investigators were provided the tape and identified Tandy and Inman. They reported having a number of prior contacts with them in other cases.

When Ozark County deputies went to the couple’s home in Dora, they found a yard sale in progress, featuring many of the items matching the description of those taken from the storage unit.

In addition, there were items being offered for sale matching the description of those taken in break-ins in both Arkansas and Missouri.
