Several high schools around Arkansas and Missouri are one day away from getting the football season started. Mountain View will start the 2019 campaign on the road as they meet Magnet Cove on Friday.

The Yellowjackets are coming off a season in which they struggled and finished with a record of 2-8. Last year, Mountain View began the season with 20 to 25 players on its roster, but this year, they’re up to 40. Yellowjackets’ head coach Michael Gray says the increased numbers will be a factor as they look to get back to where they have been in the past.
