The Mountain Home High School golf teams had a good day at Horseshoe Bend. The Bombers and Lady Bombers came away with wins in Thursday’s outing at the Golf Course on Turkey Mountain.
Mountain Home’s boys finished with a team total of 256. Bay was second at 284, Izard County ended up third at 293, Viola took fourth place at 325, and Salem rounded out the field at 349.
The Bombers’ Weston Hoover was the medalist with a 79 as he beat Jackson Hunt of Bay by one stroke. Also for Mountain Home, Gaige Haney shot a 79. Viola’s Gage Harris was third with an 83.
On the girls’ side, Mountain Home topped Salem 316-353. Sydney Czanstkowski led the Lady Bombers as the medalist with an 89, and teammate Lauren Loving was second with a 101. For the Lady Greyhounds, Anna Neal finished third with a 109.
