
A Mountain Home man was among those sharing in more than $67.6 million in prizes in July from the Missouri Lottery.Of the total $67.6 million awarded, more than $7.8 million were prizes of $1,000 or more, including the $1,270 Gregory Thorpe of Mountain Home won on a Club Keno ticket.
Missouri voters approved a lottery by more than 70 percent in 1984.
Since sales started in 1986, the Missouri Lottery has generated more than $6 billion for the state and public education and annual Lottery proceeds make up approximately 4 percent of the state’s funding for public education.
