
The Marion County Quorum Court’s regular September session is scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Three items of new business are for the road department. The court will vote on an ordinance to enter into a municipal note agreement with First Service Bank to purchase three road graders. In addition, a clerical error will need to be corrected, and the court will vote to authorize Judge John Massey to apply for a grant for the purpose of resurfacing Marion County Road 6064.
Appropriation ordinances will also be presented for the assessor’s and collector’s offices, and another ordinance would appropriate money for the office of emergency management to repair warning towers.
The meeting will be held in the Marion County Courthouse.
