A Marion County man, 25-year-old Tyler Ray Rivera of Flippin, has been arrested and charged in connection with a residential burglary and allegedly had items in his possession from the home when he was being booked into jail.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed last Thursday, a Marion County Sheriff’s deputy took a residential burglary report on Aug. 26. The incident reportedly occurred at a trailer at an undisclosed location.
The victim told law enforcement items in the trailer were scattered. He said he was unsure what was missing due to the “mess” he found when he discovered the trailer had been entered. The man said no one had been at the trailer for four days prior to the discovery.
A jail administrator advised when Rivera was being booked into the Marion County Detention Center, he allegedly had items in his possession belonging to the burglary victim.
The items consisted of two pill bottles labeled in the victim’s name containing change. Another bottle labeled in a female’s name contained phenobarbital pills. Also among the items was a cellphone and a black box containing a hearing aid.
During an interview, Rivera allegedly confessed to breaking into the trailer and taking the items.
He has been charged with a felony count of residential burglary and a misdemeanor count of theft of property.
Bond was set at $20,000.
