Wood named top realtor

Wes Wood of Peglar Real Estate Group in Mountain Home has received the REALTOR® of the Year award. The announcement was made by the North Central Board of REALTORS® (NCBOR).Wood has been a realtor for five years.

He says he feels the most important part of his role is educating people when purchasing or selling a home.Wood says, “For most people, buying a home is the biggest financial decision of their lives. I would rather not sell someone a home than get them trapped in a home they can never resell for at least the price of what they are purchasing it for. Buying or selling a home is very stressful, and I try to make it as fun and enjoyable as possible.” 

Wood is heavily involved in the Mountain Home community serving as a board member for Rotary and the Twin Lakes Future Fund, as well as being an advisory board member for the Good Samaritan Society. He serves as an ambassador for the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce, mentors a high school student and volunteers for many other community events. Within the NCBOR, Wood sits on the board of directors, serves as the chair for the feed our children committee and is a member of the golf tournament committee.

Wood says, “It is a great honor to receive this award. I know there are many others deserving of it that are heavily involved within our community. We live in such a great community where volunteerism is so strong. I am happy to give up my time to be involved in anything that benefits our community in a positive way. Hopefully others will join me going forward and we can make our community even stronger. Thank you to everyone that has chipped in and helped me throughout the year I am not alone in winning this award.”

The North Central Board of REALTORS® is a 200-member, not-for-profit trade association serving real estate professionals and is “The Voice for Real Estate” for Baxter and Marion counties.
